London Bridge Baptist Church

We at LBBC are dedicated to missions at home and around the world.  We strive to fulfill the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19 "Go and make disciples of all nations." Our mission is the same as the one left to the disciples by Christ, "You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."  Our desire is to take the gospel across the street and across the globe. Domestic Missions: FAITH is our primary strategy for reaching our Jerusalem, Hampton Roads.  FAITH is a discipleship course designed to teach you how to share the gospel with others.  It uses classroom sessions and on the job training to help members become comfortable sharing their faith.  For more information contact Greg by clicking here. We also seek to minister to the needs of our community of faith.  Our deacons and Men's ministry continually help meet the physical needs of people in our fellowship who need light construction or yard work. The students at LBBC also take seriously the call to missions.  This year they are involved in Hampton Roads World Changers.  They will take a week in June to work on the homes of low income families in Hampton Roads.  As the work is being done the goal is to show the love of Christ and then share the gospel of Christ. International Missions: Each year LBBC seeks to partner with brothers and sisters around the world to take the good news to all nations.  This year our pastor led a trip to Nairobi, Kenya.  The team shared the gospel, helped meet local needs, and worked with the children of Nairobi.  This was the second trip we have taken to Kenya.  These trips were greatly used by God in the life of the Kenyan's as well as in the lives of our people. Our students will be taking the message of Christ to the people of the Czech Republic.  While there, our students will be meeting humanitarian needs, doing light construction, and providing day camps for children. Nothing draws our heart toward Christ like hands on mission invovement.  We can be the hands and feet of Christ as we share His message here and overseas.  For more information on missions contact us at 486-7900.
