“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

JOHN 4:23-24

The choir is the heart of the Worship Ministry and the “front door” for vocalists who want to get involved in music at London Bridge.  Meeting on Wednesday nights from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm, the choir is open to all and no audition is required.  The primary purpose of the choir is to model worship for the congregation, so there is a de-emphasis on “performance” and an increased emphasis on learning to be more effective worshippers!

The Worship Team is a group of vocalists that are drawn from the choir and serve a two-year term. In addition to regular choir rehearsal, they have a separate rehearsal each week and minister in all Sunday morning Worship services and on other occasions as needed.

Like the choir, the band is open to any church member. Unlike the choir, there is an audition process since playing in a small ensemble requires a certain level of musical competence. The band is typically a rhythm section, but occasionally expands and is even a full orchestra from time to time. The band currently rehearses on Tuesday evenings.

The Technical Team is responsible for the many technical aspects necessary to pull off our Worship services and productions.  Generally, these fall into three categories: sound, lights, and video.  The Technical Team is open to anyone who wants to be involved in the Worship Ministry “behind the scenes”.  Technical experience is appreciated, but certainly not required.

The Echoes are our Senior Adult choir and may be the busiest ministry at London Bridge!  They currently rehearse on Thursday afternoons.  Typically, The Echoes will put together a Christmas show in the fall and something less seasonal for the spring and take the performance on the road.  They perform at nursing homes, retirement communities, other churches, and just about any place that will have them.  The Echoes are open to any Senior and there is no audition process.

The Worship Ministry at LBBC will occasionally mount a production in our Worship Center.  For those times, we need people who can help with productions like carpenters, seamstresses, actors, hair and makeup people, stage crew and the like.  We will also occasionally “produce” a sermon series or an in-house conference.  We love using the full kaleidoscope of art forms to glorify the Lord!
